“ Drove by and saw their lunch special. Can't resist to go in and try. I am glad I did. Ordered chicken inasal and it did not disappoint. Comes with rice and salad and the grilled chicken. Not a huge amount of food but just right amount for the money. I would say it's a solid 5 stars since it's only 7.50 for this lunch special. Credit cards friendly and street parking wasn't too bad. Highly recommended and definitely would go back again if I m in the area. ”
“ Oh my!! Should have come here earlier. My Filipino visitors from Seattle insisted I bring them here as their friends in Seattle highly recommended this rather nondescript eatery - and it was such a great recommendation. I really don’t know much about Filipino food but my Filipino host does and ordered the Sisig which they proclaimed as being excellent - both in taste as well as the required texture and crunchiness. Of course also ordered the large crispy Pata which was ever so good - freshly made, super crunchy skin and just the right flavoured meat. Have had too many hard, chewy not-really-crispy pata skin on pork that’s like salty jerky that I really enjoyed this perfectly cooked pride of Filipino food! The Lumpiang was nothing special but the skewers were smoky goodness and I wish we had saved some room for dessert - which looked so tempting but we just couldn’t manage it. Too bad as I’m sure they’re gonna be as good as the meal we had. Recommend Hapag if you want a good intro to Filipino food! You won’t go wrong here. And oh, didn’t take more pictures as we resorted to eating with our fingers - as befit eating Filipino food - and couldn’t much use my phone! ”
“ What a gorgeous family run restaurant! Lovely homely atmosphere with friendly staff. Ordered the crispy pata and pancit miki, both were delicious crispy pata was falling off the bone and melted in my mouth! Also had the leche flan for dessert and wow, it was so creamy Highly recommend paying a visit to Hapag, come hungry!! ”
“ Authentic bbq! Tastes like home The prices are also very affordable! The place is a little bit far from us but we’ll definitely be back! ”
“ Their Chicken Inasal and Pork Bbq are very good, especially when served with their garlic rice. The combo menu items are reasonably priced for lunch. Service is always good here, whether dine-in or take-out. Sometimes, I visit my Filipino friends in East Van and buy an order of Pancit Miki together with 8 pcs Lumpia Shanghai and medium tray of Leche Flan and it’s a good Merienda (afternoon tea) for 4 people, all reasonably priced and delicious too. I wish they improve their dining area to look a little more inviting, so for now, I would recommend this place for take-out. ”
“ This is a super underrated Filipino restaurant. We ordered chicken inasal, pancit miki, and a slice of ube cake. Everything tasted like home. We are definitely coming back! ”
“ A true hidden gem! Never in my life have I tasted chicken this tender and juicy. These chunky pieces were grilled to perfection. I thought they came in smaller portions given the affordable price so I ordered two but dang was I a fool. Only managed to finish one but this will be a yummy treat later in the day chilling on the couch. Amazing, I'll be back for more so you'd better gimme all yo chickens! ”
“ You had me at the Sizzling Sisig. Amazing taste with just the right amount of crunch. The Lumpia Shanghai (pork & shrimp spring rolls) were very crispy. We had the small serving and it was just perfect for the two of us. The skin of the Crispy Pata was so crispy. Sooo tasty. The meat just falls off the bone. Everyone talked about how good the Pork BBQ Skewers were. Well ... now you can’t come here and then not try it. Right? They weren’t wrong. Perfectly marinated and barbecued. The pork was very moist and tasty. Not dry like some of the places we’ve been to. It’s a must order when you’re here. The Garlic Annatto Rice had just the right amount of softness. Complimented the Sisig very nicely. The large order is good for four people. Definitely one of (if not) the best places for Filipino food. ”
